«Waka Waka (Esto Es África)» (llamada «Waka Waka (This Time For Africa)» en su versión en inglés) es una canción de Shakira y el grupo sudafricano Freshlyground, escogida por FIFA y Sony Music Entertainment como la canción oficial de la Copa Mundial de Fútbol de 2010, realizada en Sudáfrica. Todos los beneficios que genere la canción se destinarán a la campaña benéfica de la FIFA 20 Centers for 2010.

Aunque inicialmente no se preveía incluirla en el álbum Sale el sol, finalmente se incluyeron tanto la versión en español como en inglés como remixes.

«Waka Waka» combina ritmos e instrumentación afro-colombianos con la soca, género musical de Trinidad y Tobago derivado del calipso.

El estribillo se basa en un canto de Camerún llamado «Zangalewa» que hizo popular el grupo Golden Sounds formado por ex-militares de ese país. El grupo afirma que ellos no la compusieron, sino que la adoptaron de un canto popular que apareció espontáneamente, por parte de scouts africanos cuando marchaban.

Luego del éxito de «Zangalewa» en África, a fines de los años 80, la melodía habría llegado a República Dominicana, donde Wilfrido Vargas la adaptó para el grupo tropical Las Chicas del Can donde el «Waka Waka» o «Zangalewa» es el estribillo de la canción «El negro no puede».

La canción ha sido número 1 en 32 países. Se ha convertido en uno de los sencillos más exitosos de la historia en México, Guatemala,Italia, Luxemburgo, España, Portugal, Alemania, Francia, Chile, Colombia, Turquía, Bélgica, Austria, Suiza, Holanda, Dinamarca yFinlandia, hecho que ninguna otra canción ha conseguido nunca.
